Exercise Rehabilitation
Exercise Rehabilitation
What makes our approach to treatment unique is that we combine both osteopathic manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation to help our clients achieve long-term, effective changes by addressing posture, alignment, movement, breathing & stability.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) is an exercise rehabilitation approach founded by Professor Pavel Kolar, and is based on the scientific principles of developmental kinesiology (i.e. our movement patterns are formed as the central nervous system matures in the first critical years of life).
The nervous system establishes programs that control human posture, movement and gait. Therefore, this rehab approach addresses the neurodevelopmental aspects of motor control in order to assess and restore dysfunction of the locomotor system.
Once we assess our clients, we establish an awareness around their postural stability & movement habits, and then use a combination of osteopathy and developmental postures to improve their function.
All clients have access to our free online video library containing instructional videos to support their movement practice at home.
